PhD Thesis at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
Title: Ashura Rituals: Piety, Politics and Reinterpretation, An ethnographic study in south Lebanon. The project is under the supervision of Prof. D. Kata Moser.
The research investigates how Ashura Rituals affects the understanding and practicing of Islam within Shia community in Lebanon. In this regard, the project integrates Islamic Studies and the Anthropology of Religion, and a deep ethnographic work.
