Mona Abdelhady
Mona is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Economics of Sustainable Agri-Food Systems. Her research focuses on how innovative business models, such as carbon trading and biodiversity credits, can support farmers’ participation in the sustainability transformation of agricultural and food value chains. She is a member of the agri:change project (agri:lab X1), which focuses on sustainable value creation systems and sustainability transparency in agricultural and food value chains. Within agri:lab X1, her research contributes to understanding how new business models can support the sustainability transformation of agricultural value chains and create new opportunities for farmers to generate income from environmental services. Mona holds a European Joint Master’s degree in Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and Warsaw School of Economics.
