Equal Opportunities
Officer
Contact point for equal opportunities topics at the Institute of Computer Science, together with further support services.
Welcome
Equal opportunities are an important topic in computer science and a priority for the Institute of Computer Science.
The equal opportunities team currently consists of three members: one representative of the academic staff (Dr. Parisa Memarmoshrefi) and two members of the administrative staff (Veronika Lemburg and Dr. Anne Pinkepank).
The team is supported by Prof. Dr. Alexander Ecker as the representative of the professors.
The responsibilities of the equal opportunities team are wide-ranging. We are represented on all faculty committees and participate in decision-making processes. We also attend appointment procedures in order to help prevent discriminatory behaviour in the hiring of new faculty members.
In addition, we work to reduce the imbalance between the number of men and women in computer science through targeted measures. Our commitment extends beyond gender-specific issues to all forms of discrimination.
If you ever feel treated unfairly at the institute or observe discriminatory behaviour, please contact a member of the equal opportunities team. You are welcome to reach us by phone or email.
