CHE University Ranking 2022 rates humanities, life sciences and social sciences

In the Centre for Higher Education (CHE) University Ranking 2022, the University of Göttingen is in the top group in four subjects: Education Science, German Language and Literature, Psychology, and Romance Studies. With more than 30 subjects and over 300 universities analysed, the CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world. In addition to facts about teaching and research, the rankings are informed by the assessments of students.

Education Science, German Language and Literature, and Romance Studies stood out in particular in terms of support for first-year students. In Education Science, the publications per professor also contributed to the positive result. Undergraduate Psychology does well with "degrees in a reasonable amount of time".

In this year's university ranking, a total of 14 subject areas and areas of study were assessed at universities. The University of Göttingen participated in the four subjects mentioned above.
