Economics subjects at Göttingen University do well in the CHE Master's Ranking

In the current university ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), the University of Göttingen gets top marks in subjects in the field of economics. Master's students in business administration, economics, and business informatics are particularly satisfied with the general study conditions in Göttingen. They praised the supervision by lecturers, the support provided during their studies, and the range of courses on offer. The organisation of studies, the transition to the Master's programme and the emphasis on research also received high marks from the students. They were very satisfied with online elements in teaching and the practice-based approach. Business administration and economics students were also impressed by the support for studying abroad.

In addition to student assessments, the ranking also analyses the facts about the study programmes and research criteria. The three degree programmes scored highly in the category of successful PhD students per professor. Business studies and business informatics demonstrated a high rate of students graduating within a reasonable period of time. In economics and in business studies, the number of publications per professor was high, and in economics, the research funding per researcher was also high.

This year's CHE University Ranking analysed a total of nine subjects and subject groups at universities. Both the feedback from Master's students and facts about teaching and research are used. The subjects business administration, economics and business informatics at the University of Göttingen took part in the survey of Master's students.
