Structure of the program

Program structure in detail

Timetable of the M.Sc.-Program

May/June

  • Selection of students that are awarded a scholarship
  • Admission to the Program


    • September- February

  • 1st semester in Bogor.
  • The semester starts the first week of September. The students will have to successfully pass at least 5 modules per semester.

    • March - July

  • 2nd semester in Bogor.
  • Students are expected to pass at least 5 Modules.
  • Admission process for the University of Göttingen.

    • August - September

  • German language course in Göttingen, Germany
  • The students get a German course starting the first week of August (German course is compulsory for DAAD Scholarship holders)

    • October - February

  • 3rd semester in Göttingen/Bogor
  • Some students continue their studies in Göttingen, other students can continue their studies in Talca. During this semester the students have prepare their proposal for the master-thesis.

    • March - August

  • Field research and master thesis
  • The students conduct a field research with data collection and finish their master-thesis. The study program finishes with a colloquium in which the students have to present and discuss the main results of their thesis.
