If your previous education is not sufficient for admission to a degree programme, i.e. you do not yet have a direct university entrance qualification, you may have to attend a Studienkolleg to take the Assessment test (´Feststellungsprüfung´). This test determines whether you meet the subject and language requirements for studying a degree programme.
In order to register for the Entrance test at the Studienkolleg Hannover, you must first apply a regular application for the subject you would like to study later. Please choose this subject carefully, as you can only apply for one course at the Studienkolleg.
During the application process, your school leaving certificate will be checked for a subject affiliation. This means that, based on the final subjects of your school leaving certificate, you may, if applicable, only choose certain subjects of study.
If you are not subject-restricted, you are free to choose the subject you would like to study later from all subjects.
If your school leaving certificate is sufficient to qualify for the Studienkolleg, you will be registered by the University for the admission process at the Studienkolleg. Afterwards the Studienkolleg will give you further information on the following steps.
Participation at the admission process at the Studienkolleg is not an admission to the degree programme!
If you have successfully completed the Studienkolleg with the assessment test, you must reapply for admission to the university of your choice.
If you do not know, which specialisation course you need in order to apply for the study programme of your choice, please find here an overview.
