Goal 9 – Industry, innovations and infastructure

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

SDG 9 seeks to develop quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure that is affordable and equitably accessible for all. Inclusive and sustainable industrialization, especially in developing countries, should be promoted.
In order to render infrastructure and industry sustainable, they must be modernised and upgraded. Likewise, it is important to strengthen research and technological capacities of industrial sectors.
To reach these goals, least developed countries should be supported financially, technologically and technically. Domestic technology development, research and innovation in developing countries should be encouraged. Access to information and communications technology is to be augmented. *
