Admission Requirements

For admission a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences, biology or a related discipline following at least 6 semesters of University studies is required. Admission is mainly based on the student’s grade point average, a minimum of 2.5 (German system, equivalent to a B is required.

Educational background, relevant professional experience, additional professional qualifications and motivation will also be considered in the selection process.

Language requirement
Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of proficiency in English by one of these language certificates and scores:

• UNIcert level II
• B2 certificate of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference)
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with at least band 6
Required TOEFL Scores are:
• 550 Points in the paper-based test
• 220 Points in the computer based test
• 80 points in the internet based test

The language test certificate should not be more than 3 years old at the time of application. Students with a one year study or working experience in an English speaking country within the last five years do not need the proof of English proficiency.

Students from outside the EU must obtain a visa for Germany, which among other documents requires the proof of financial support for at least one year of study (11000 €).
