Starting in the 2025/26 winter semester, all supervision places for bachelor's theses at the professorships of Business Administration, Computer Science and Industrial Engineering will be allocated via a centralised procedure. (Exception: Bachelor's theses with Prof. Schumann – if you are interested, please contact the professor directly). In future, applications for supervision will no longer be made to individual professors, but only via the central procedure. WIPÄD students who wish to write their Bachelor's thesis in their minor subject should apply directly to the respective professors of the minor subject as usual.

At our chair, you also have the opportunity to write an empirical Bachelor's thesis. The prerequisite for this is a basic knowledge of the statistical software Stata, or the willingness to acquire the necessary skills independently. Master's Theses

Please submit your first and second topic preference along with a current transcript of records by the deadline on October 15, 2026 via email to wertschoepfungsmanagement@uni-goettingen.de. If you are accepted, you can freely choose when to register your thesis within the registration period. A registration period always runs from one application deadline to the next. However, the first coordination meeting with your supervisor will take place no earlier than 4 weeks before registration.





Please note that the chair only supervises strictly scientific theses. This means students are provided with a dataset by us and analyze it to address a specific research question using the statistical software Stata. The best preparation for a Master's thesis at our chair is the Entrepreneurship Research Seminar, offered every summer semester by Prof. Dr. Matthias Schulz, where the same dataset is used and students learn how to work with Stata. However, completing the seminar is not mandatory. Practice-oriented theses are not possible.
