Graduation ceremony for summer term 2024 graduates


Florenz Sartorius Prize for academic excellence awarded to students


With an academic ceremony on Friday, 8 November 2024, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Göttingen said farewell to its graduates of the summer semester 2024. A total of 261 students graduated in the past winter semester. 134 of them completed a Bachelor's programme, 127 a Master's programme.



The Dean of Studies, Prof. Dr. Claudia Keser, welcomed the guests. Thiemo Reichard spoke on behalf of the summer term graduates. Dr Laura Jacobey, Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), spoke as an alumna of the Faculty.



The "Florenz Sartorius Prizes" donated by Sartorius AG in Göttingen were also awarded during the event. The best graduates in each discipline received a prize. The Faculty honoured Florian Rümens (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) for his outstanding academic performance in Business Administration. In Economics, Pia Roddewig (Master of Science in Development Economics) was honoured. In the field of Business Education, Denise Heinrich (Master of Education in Business Education) received a prize and Pia Marie Oelze (Master of Science in Business Informatics) in the field of Business Informatics.
