Short-Term Scientific Missions
With Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM), the Innovation Pool specifically supports short-term research stays to foster international networking within the Competence Centre Landscape Resilience.
Funding is provided for temporary research stays in Germany and abroad, particularly supporting early-career researchers at the University of Göttingen in establishing new scientific collaborations or strengthening existing ones.
The focus lies on joint work addressing questions of land use and landscape resilience, for example through field research, methodological development, or the preparation of joint publications.
The stays are deliberately designed to be short in order to provide targeted impulses for long-term collaboration and to enhance the international visibility of resilience research in Göttingen.
Target group: Early Career Researchers (doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers) at the University of Göttingen with an interest in land use, resilience, and innovative research methods
There is currently no open call for Short-Term Scientific Missions. The next call is expected to be announced in December 2026.
