Visiting Scientist Programme
Through the Visiting Scientist Programme, the Innovation Pool invites established scientists from Germany and abroad to undertake temporary research stays at the Competence Centre Landscape Resilience. The programme is aimed at senior scientists who wish to work at the University of Göttingen for a limited period and contribute their expertise to research, teaching, and scientific exchange.
Funding is provided for one- to two-month research stays that serve to initiate or deepen international collaborations in the field of land use and landscape resilience. The focus lies on joint methodological work, the development of new research approaches, the preparation or implementation of joint publications, and the establishment of long-term scientific networks.
A central component of the programme is the active transfer of knowledge into the Competence Centre: visiting scientists contribute their perspectives and experience through lectures, seminars, or workshops and thereby support the further development of the interdisciplinary research environment in Göttingen. At the same time, they benefit from close integration into the research activities of the Competence Centre and its partners.
