Merve Derebasoglu is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Development Economics / Centre for Modern Indian Studies. Her research interests lie in the economics of education, labor economics, and gender economics, with a particular focus on education and social policy evaluations, human capital formation, and addressing gender barriers in education and the labor market.
She received her PhD in Economics from Bilkent University in 2022. Prior to joining the University of Göttingen, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the European University Institute.
