Insights into forest research: How are climate-resilient forests developed?

As part of the outreach project “Forest Resilience: Science & Practice” of the Competence Centre Landscape Resilience, participants gained exclusive insights into current research on forest resilience. Together with the EnriCo research team, they explored how forests respond to climate change – from the soil and roots to the tree canopies. Competence Centre for Landscape Resilience officially opened – Focus on interdisciplinary research and international networking

On 22 May 2025, the new Competence Centre for Landscape Resilience at the University of Göttingen was officially inaugurated in a ceremonial opening event. Funded by the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation, the Centre is dedicated to interdisciplinary research on the resilience of landscapes to ecological, climatic, and societal change. In addition to a junior research group and an Innovation Pool, a further focus lies on international networking and innovative research approaches. Researchers and students are invited to participate in current calls and actively contribute to the development of forward-looking solutions. …press release
