Award for dissertation by Sarah von Hagen
Sarah von Hagen received first place in the Military and Military Technology History Award from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) for her dissertation Maritime Powers: The Battle in the Atlantic Naval Wars 1665–1783. The prize is endowed with €10,000 and was awarded in Potsdam at the end of November. More information about the award can be found here.
Hiob-Ludolf-Fellowship awarded
Maria Rhode has been awarded a two-month Hiob-Ludolf Fellowship at the Research College for Transnational Studies / Perthes Collection in Gotha. More detailed information on the research focus areas can be found here.
New appointment at the Chair of Eastern European History
At the start of the 2025/26 winter semester, Dr. Immo Rebitschek will be welcomed as the new representative at the Chair of Eastern European History. More information about him can be found here.
Significant discovery in the diplomatic apparatus
