Resistance – Democracy – Internationality

A collaboration project of the University of Göttingen and the Stiftung Adam von Trott

In memory of the Göttingen alumnus and resistance fighter Adam von Trott zu Solz (1909-1944), the University, together with the Stiftung Adam von Trott, Imshausen e.V., supports various projects in research and teaching as well as public formats on the topics of resistance and responsibility, democracy and peace, Europe and internationality with federal funding. Within the framework of the cooperation, we organise various event formats which, based on the life, work and thinking of Adam von Trott, are intended to contribute to a critical examination of historical topics and current socio-political debates.

DATES AND NEWS

International Graduate Workshop

An international student workshop on the theme of internationalism will take place in Imshausen on 12-15 September, involving academics, experts and those active in the fields of diplomacy and international relations. Students can now apply to participate until 10 May.

Seminar on Resistance

A seminar on the topic "Life under real socialist conditions: Is Opposition and Resistance Worthwhile in a Dictatorship" with contemporary witnesses of the peaceful revolutions in East Central Europe will take place in Imshausen on 23 April. Students can register as of now.

Study Bursary 2022

Master's, state examination and doctoral students at the University of Göttingen can now apply for a short-term scholarship ("study bursary") for a four-week study visit to Oxford University. The application deadline is 16 March 2022.
