Events
- On October 9 and 10, 2025, a conference on “50 years of criminal law reform” will take place in Göttingen. The conference will be hosted by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Kubiciel (Augsburg) and Prof. Dr. Alexander Baur (Göttingen). Talks and discussions will be held on the history of ideas and criminal policy, the foundations of criminal responsibility and the legal consequences of criminal offenses.

- On July 5, 2024, the Conference of the Institute of Criminology of the University of Göttingen and the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology of the University of Bern in cooperation with the Center for Medical Law of the University of Göttingen entitled “Das Maßnahmen- und Maßregelrecht im Umbruch” took place in Göttingen. - On July 4, 2024, Prof. Alexander Baur gave his Inaugural Lecture entitled “Criminology in Crisis” in the auditorium of the University of Göttingen.
- On June 11, 2024, a panel discussion on the topic “Compulsion to reform? - Dealing with dangerousness in total institutions” at 6 p.m. s.t. in the Emmy Noether Hall of the Alte Aula on Wilhelmsplatz. Prof. Alexander Baur moderated, Prof. Axel Dessecker, Prof. Tanja Henking, Prof. Norbert Konrad and Dr. Christian Riedemann participated as discussants. Further information
