The internationally oriented module "Corporate Valuation without and with Personal Taxes" is aimed at Master's and doctoral students who want to gain in-depth knowledge in the field of corporate valuation using discounted cash flow methods. This online block course is open not only to students from the University of Göttingen but also to students from ENLIGHT partner universities. ENLIGHT is a network of 10 research-intensive universities from 10 European countries. Among them are the universities of Ghent (Belgium) and Tartu (Estonia), with which the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Chair of Finance and Controlling maintain close cooperation. In addition, students from Kyiv National Economic University (Ukraine), with whom Prof. Dierkes has collaborated closely for many years, can also participate. Within the module, students from different universities work together in teams to develop solutions to corporate valuation case studies. Alongside gaining deep theoretical and practical expertise in valuation, students also have the opportunity to collaborate with peers from other European universities and further develop their intercultural skills.

To Module

The "Accounting and Finance Analytics" module provides comprehensive knowledge in the use of modern analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, simulations, and SAP for solving practical controlling and valuation issues. In realistic case studies, students apply their knowledge directly and independently develop analytical solution approaches, which are finally presented as scientific posters. Additionally, external appointments at Deloitte in Hanover take place, where the practical application of the tools in a corporate context is deepened.

To Module

Our courses consistently connect topics from financial controlling with the dimensions of sustainability – economy, ecology, and social aspects. Students analyze business administration content from a sustainable perspective. In the modules "Sustainability Management and Controlling" and "Finance and Sustainability Controlling", they learn the conception and application of sustainability-oriented controlling instruments.
